Perugia (PG)

On September 14, 1860, Perugia freed itself from the papal troops and became part of the Kingdom of Italy. Every year the city commemorates that anniversary with three days of ceremonies, music, and moments of reflection in the historic center. On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, the Fanfara Regionale Umbra “Renato Salucci” parades and plays through Borgo Sant’Antonio and the streets of the center. On Sunday at 5 pm in Piazza IV Novembre, the concert of the Fanfara of the 11th Bersaglieri Regiment and the Banda dei Granatieri di Sardegna takes place. On Monday 14, at 9 am, the commemoration concludes with a tribute to the monument to the Bersagliere Renato Salucci at Parco della Verbanella and the laying of laurel wreaths.
