KUM! Festival - La tentazione della violenza
Auditorium San Francesco al Prato, Teatro del Pavone e altre sedi
KUM! returns to Perugia from 23 to 25 October 2026 with a title that is already a program: "La tentazione della violenza". The festival, born to explore themes of care and reflection, brings together psychoanalysts, philosophers and writers to question the roots of violence and the ways to overcome it. The opening on 23 October at the Auditorium San Francesco al Prato is entrusted to Massimo Recalcati. The psychoanalyst will hold a lectio magistralis on the Aramaic term "Kum" (Get up!), taken from the Gospel story of Jairus' daughter: a word that evokes the miracle of care and the resumption of the journey. In the following days, the festival unfolds in dialogues and meetings in various city venues, including the Teatro del Pavone, offering the public opportunities for discussion on a highly topical issue.
Dates: 23-25 October 2026 Opening: 23 October, 5:00 PM (institutional greetings), 5:30 PM Lectio Magistralis by Massimo Recalcati Opening venue: Auditorium San Francesco al Prato, Perugia Other events in various venues (Teatro del Pavone and other spaces) Free admission to all events Full program at kumfestival.it
