The 46th edition of the Salone Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco Pregiato takes over the historic centre of Città di Castello for three weekends: Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, then Saturday 7 and Sunday 8, and finally Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November. The prized white truffle (Tuber magnatum pico) is at the heart of the event, with a dedicated market, the village of flavours and live showcooking. The area can count on more than 1,500 truffle hunters and around three thousand dogs trained to search for the hypogean fungus; alongside the white truffle, production continues throughout the year, from the spring bianchetto to the black truffle and the summer scorzone.
