Shows and entertainment Ongoing Festival del Ciarlatano
📍 Cerreto di Spoleto (PG)
Every year at the end of August, the village of Cerreto di Spoleto returns to the Middle Ages to celebrate the 'ciarlatani', the ancient traveling vendors who roamed the squares with miracle remedies and street performances. The Festival del Ciarlatano fills alleys and small squares with street artists, musicians, jugglers and actors, recreating the lively and slightly mysterious atmosphere of those markets from centuries ago.
For three days, from 21 to 23 August 2026, the town comes alive with itinerant shows, art exhibitions, excursions and performances that involve young and old. An opportunity to discover a fascinating corner of Umbria and be surprised by the irony and creativity that made these characters famous.
